About Fight4Freedom

Our History

In 2009, a young girl shared with a camp counselor her struggles with night terrors and daily blackouts. Through trust and time, she disclosed in 2010 that she was being abused sexually by a teacher from her school since the age of 8. Her abuser then forced her to have sex with other men for money. At the age of 19, our team was able to help her get set free from her experience of sex trafficking.

In 2012 a group began to form to pray and started street outreach work with sex workers hoping to identify women forced into sex trafficking. By the end of 2012 the team had worked directly or indirectly with over 10 survivors from various demographic and economic backgrounds.

In 2016, prayers and vision casting started for the Philippines. Our team became aware of the sex trafficking realities in this country and sought to find the gaps that exists in the fight against it. By 2017, we built partnerships with other NGOs and started our monthly outreaches to karaoke clubs. In 2021, we became an official NGO in the Philippines.

Fight4Freedom Philippines currently operates in Metro Manila. We hope to expand in other areas of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao in the future.

Our purpose is to be an active voice and advocate of justice for women and men who have been trafficked - to further assist them in finding the necessary support that will aid them in their journey of safety, freedom, healing, and restoration.

Vision

We want to see the end of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in the Philippines and the world.

Mission

We focus on the five Ps:
  • Protection- to protect the rights and dignity of women and men who are involved in human trafficking for sexual exploitation.
  • Prevention- raising awareness in speaking engagements and to provide preventative measures that will help women  understand their identity, value and self worth.
  • Partnerships- to seek out survivors of human trafficking and connect them with support premised on biblical principles of love, mercy and grace and to collaborate, engage in dialogue and partner with other national stakeholders and agencies that directly or indirectly have a passion to
    help survivors of human trafficking
  • Prosecution- to advocate changes and support upcoming policies that directly or indirectly have an impact on seeing human trafficking eradicated in the Philippines.
  • Prayer- see passionate individuals take a stance in seeing human trafficking end through prayer.
